This is the best link for information on access to learning funds for lone parents. The funds are administered through universities themselves, so you would have to speak to the student services department at the institution you’re studying at (or intend to study at). Hope this helps!

I would like to take a post graduate in environmental systems management. I have a BA(Hons)(Open) and an MA (Open).
I hold aNEBosh Diploma in Environmental Management and I an a chartered health and safety practioner (CMIOSH. To enable me to extend my career I believe the practical application of environmental management is a growing area.
Is there any possibility of financial support, for a certificate or diploma award?

Please could you contact me with regard to eligiblity criteria for applying for funding. I have an NVQ level 5 in Operational Management. I would like to improve my employment prospects with a higher qualification because I am worried about keeping my job in local government. I am 55 years old which adds to my concerns about the competative job market. I expect to work until I am 65 and beyond, and really feel that I need to refresh my learning skills.
